Preparing for your first photoshoot? Here’s some helpful tips for you and your family.
January 1, 2022
Choose your clothing carefully
Make sure your outfit choices are comfortable and suitable for your special photoshoot. You can coordinate colors with your family members. Coordinating colors helps bring unity to the desired photoshoot.
Be well rested and fed
Careful not to schedule the session around your child’s nap or bedtimes. As your photographer, I will schedule most sessions during the “golden hour” aka the last hour before sunset.
Be sure to leave plenty of time to get ready
Leave plenty of time for showers, baths, dressing and grooming. If you show up to the photoshoot late and disheveled, then it sets the tone for a rushed and disorganized session. Allow extra time for you and your family members. If possible, arrive 10 minutes early to the session. If you suspect that you will be late, contact me via text or phone.
Cheer up and excite your family members
Some family members may not be as excited as you are for this session. Talk with your family members to explain the importance of this photoshoot . Family photos are treasured forever. Capturing these moments will be a everlasting keepsake for you, your family and friends.
Have fun with your family
Not all photos captured will consist of structured poses. Don’t be afraid to pick up your children, kiss your spouse or laugh a little. These “off guard” moments are perfect for family portraits because is displays your connection and love towards each other.
I look forward to photographing you and your family. Thank you for choosing Spirit Photography NC, LLC.
